That’s a wrap. On Saturday, July 11, 2026, shareholders and friends gathered at the Panic office in Portland, with more watching the live stream, for the annual Shareholder Summit. The theme was ‘Long Confidence’: KmikeyM at 18, and what it takes to keep doing your thing long enough that it stops being a ‘project’ and becomes something like a career, but much weirder.

Mike gave the keynote. A panel of writers talked long-form. An anonymous guest talked about running a business off the books. Four shareholders did Show & Tell. Two old friends closed the day with a PowerPoint. Neven made the pizza. Thank you to everyone who came, presented, sponsored, and watched.

The keynote will be a bit of an annual report about where things stand but also what the KmikeyM “long con” has given me (and what it has cost me), and why I plan to keep it up.

    Chris was set to moderate the panel, but a case of shingles rewrote the plan. Mike moderated instead, and Chris still showed up to do a Show & Tell, where he committed publicly, for the first time, to finishing a documentary he’s carried for years. A writer, filmmaker, and podcaster interested in everything.
